Lemon Herb Baked Salmon with Asparagus

- 1.5 lbs salmon fillet, skin on or off
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon, sliced (half for baking, half for serving)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh herbs, chopped (such as dill, parsley, thyme)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3Place asparagus on the baking sheet and drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
- 4Arrange asparagus in a single layer.
- 5Place the salmon fillet on the baking sheet next to the asparagus.
- 6Drizzle the salmon with the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil.
- 7Rub minced garlic and chopped herbs onto the salmon.
- 8Top the salmon with lemon slices.
- 9Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork and asparagus is tender-crisp.
- 10Serve immediately with extra lemon slices, if desired.
