Classic Shrimp Scampi
A quick and easy shrimp scampi recipe with garlic, butter, and white wine.

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 pound linguine or spaghetti
- 1Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- 2While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 3Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- 4Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
- 5Pour in white wine and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
- 6Stir in lemon juice, parsley, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the scampi sauce.
- 8Serve immediately.
