easy
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
 - 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets
 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
 - 2 tbsp cornstarch
 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 inch ginger, grated
 - 1/4 cup beef broth
 - 2 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
 - 1 tbsp sesame oil
 - 1 tbsp brown sugar
 - 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
 - Cooked white rice, for serving

- 1In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp cornstarch. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
 - 2In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, beef broth, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
 - 3Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until bright green and slightly tender-crisp. Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
 - 4Add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
 - 5Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
 - 6Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until slightly thickened.
 - 7Add the cooked beef and broccoli back to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.
 - 8Serve immediately over cooked white rice.
