Fudgy Vegan Brownies

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1 cup granulated sugar
 - 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
 - 1/2 cup vegetable oil
 - 1 cup non-dairy milk (almond, soy, or oat)
 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
 - 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips (optional)
 
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
 - 2In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
 - 3In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, non-dairy milk, and vanilla extract.
 - 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
 - 5Fold in vegan chocolate chips, if using.
 - 6Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
 - 7Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
 - 8Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
